I just feel like smiling...

I honestly don't know where the hell to begin.

SO MUCH happened last night.

All of it good.

Every single word.

Why you ask?

Well...

Because MTV figured out how to have an entertaining show

Let Robert Pattinson have as much screen time as possible

and let him ad lib.

Brilliant.

I will admit that even I was thrown a bit 

by some of the things he said...

It's like his mouth just can't keep up with his brain

Not a bad thing...

But always quite charming.

Oh yes... he's walking...

Let's face it...

Robert has a bizarre, sarcastic sense of humor.

He says things that he thinks are funny...

(and they usually are)

but not always in the right place.

Take for instance...

What he said to Bryce...

"I ripped your head off and now your pregnant!"

I mean...

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh Rob.

Did you see Kristen's reaction?

"What??"

That was mine, too...

I was like... 

WTF did he just say?

And the speech to Reese?

Holy Hell.

I laughed... I cringed

(I mean.. the guy said "I fucked you" on national TV)

But he was so cute...

So endearing.

So sweet.

So earnest.

And Reese saved his ass anyway...

She was cool brilliance in her acceptance...

and she finished off Rob's mangled attempt

as a 'motherfucker' joke.

HAHAHAHA!

Excellent.

But it gets better doesn't it?

Let's go to BEST KISS shall we?

She looks pretty damn happy to me...

Now.

Sure.

I can admit it.

I would LOVE to see Rob and Kristen just kiss.

But you know... then what?

They are actually kinda KNOWN for not kissing...

And I actually thought the running into the audience

and planting a big old kiss on Taylor's cheek

(forehead and hand)

Was rather entertaining.

I know a lot of people were irked

(Isn't irked a great word?)

But its all in the details people.

Did you hear what Kristen said to him

right before he ran into the audience?

"Honey... go get him"

Yeah.

I'm pretty sure she called him Honey.

Probably just out of habit...

And come on now..

Let's not forget what Rob said to her when

he came back on stage and grabbed her...

"I want to take YOU backstage."

Um.

Yeah.

See?

They don't have to fucking kiss onstage.

They don't have to perform for us.

Taking her backstage... heh.

And for once and for all...

They are NOT hiding anything.

Not discussing their relationship...

Not performing for public entertainment...

Isn't hiding.

It's how they choose to conduct their very public relationship

in a non public way...

Do you REALLY blame them for not wanting to share

every fucking moment with the world??

Obviously a lot of people

99% of the Twilight fandom

Know they are a couple.

Even people outside of the fandom can see it.

And now this lame cliched line comes into my head...

I would say GLOWING with happiness...

were shown holding hands...

Who saw them holding hands on stage

(when the lights were low)

behind the stage...

There were all sorts of people talking about the after parties

and how close Rob and Kristen were all night...

How Rob never left her side

How they were totally into each other

laughing, dancing, cuddling

So.

Yeah.

If you want to keep denying... that's cool

But don't say that it doesn't mean anything.

Because if it didn't mean anything...

You wouldn't be foaming at the mouth.

And for the record...

Holding hands can be significant in a relationship

Especially when its the same person you are holding hands WITH

Why is it such a big deal?

1. If Summit does indeed have MTV in their PR pocket

And the whole Twilight related awards

are in fact all fixed and just to sell a PR relationship...

Why is there so much damn foaming over it?

If it doesn't MEAN anything...

I've read people are boycotting the show!

Kristen stumbles a little going to the stage...

Immediately turns and goes into Robert's arms.

Natural reaction?

I'm thinking... Yes.

Rob is smiling BIG time.

In fact... he was smiling all night long.

He looked REALLY happy.

Kristen looks REALLY happy.

I honestly don't remember the last time

I have seen Robert so damn giddy.

Every time you see him on camera...

And again...

Where is Kristen all bitchy and grumpy?

Because not only do they both look

GLORIOUSLY happy...

They look pretty intimate.

So they are both on stage for Best Kiss.

handle compliments without embarrassment.

expecting and basking in others praise?

Being shy about people saying nice things 

about you in public on national TV?

But the Hyenas fucking POUNCED on that...

Calling her nasty names...

HATING on her.

They had to...

The entire cast is on stage.

Kristen is laughing and clapping.

Robert is laughing and clapping.

Looking perfectly happy.

Smiling.

The Hyenas then seized on some bizarre little clip...

It supposedly looks like Kristen brushes his arm...

And Rob reacts 'like he's been burned!!'

Um.

All night long Robert and Kristen 

have been giggling and smiling...

Touching and playful...

and some obscure second of movement

is what the Hyenas cling to.

Robert and Kristen- "She IS Mine!"

MTV Movie Awards.

Did you watch?

Did you like what you saw?

I just re-watched the Rob/Kristen parts...

(Gotta love DVR's)

And I have a few (thousand) thoughts.

1. Kristen looked gorgeous.

To be honest... I'm not really feeling the hair

I think her own long layered shag is cute enough.

But loved the dress.

B (my DH) said she looked skinny...

"The girl needs a burger or something"

Men.

2. Rob looked wonderful...

But a bit too under-dressed.

I get its MTV...

And I get he probably doesn't like to dress up.

But...

Does Robert have a thing for wearing 

jackets that are too small for him?

(By this time B went to watch baseball 

in the den. Thank goodness.)

3. Robert and Kristen sat by each other

ALL NIGHT LONG.

With the exception of when Rob was moved up front

when he was going to get the best male

and Global awards.

Did you notice in the very beginning of the show...

When they were showing people in the audience...

and they got to Robert?

He was looking to the side.

If you look DOWN...

You can see Kristen.

She's next to him... but on the floor?

Was she hiding?

I slow-moed over that bit a few times.

Not sure what to think about it either.

4. Robert look GLORIOUSLY happy last night.

Almost every picture of him he had a huge smile

on his beautiful face.

When Kristen won her award.

Did you see his face?

He was beaming.

Yes. Beaming.

He was proud of his girl.

5. LOVE this picture.

It's the little moments that show

just how comfortable they really are with each other.

Kristen stumbled.

Her first reaction was to go to Rob's arms.

Can you imagine what it would be like

to be in Robert's arms?

Can you imagine what he would smell like?

Cigarettes and Dior?

*sigh*

6. Again. Rob's face.

It was so wonderful to see him smiling SO much.

He seemed so giddy and happy all night long.

Maybe he was just glad that Kristen was back?

7. The KISS.

Well.

I have a few thoughts about this.

A. I get that the New Moon kiss was awkward.

And I get that they continued in that vein...

Well, I don't really get it...

But I get it.

Does that make sense?

Probably not.

See... from *my* point of view...

If I were Kristen, I would be kissing on him

ALL THE DAMN TIME.

But... see...

That's a fan's point of view.

Kristen sees Robert differently.

She gets to kiss on him anytime she wants to.

She doesn't need to share it with the world

if she doesn't feel like it.

B. So they were all awkward and fumbling.

I watched this in slow-mo too...

Rob never takes his eyes off of Kristen.

Not once.

Obviously they have planned out the 'kiss'

Rob would have put down the award

if they were really going to go for it.

He was so cute.

Following her lead...

Until...

8. Rob went for it.

And I'm not sure Kristen knew he was going to do that.

I don't know.

He just grabbed her and quickly kissed her.

It was adorable!

But at this point...

why keep pretending?

Come on...

Did you see Rob's face after the kiss?

9. He was all proud of himself.

Laughing big time.

Kristen just smiled and they walked off.

My opinion?

Well.

OBVIOUSLY to me... they are together.

Kristen is wary when there are cameras on her.

So she tries to control herself as much as possible.

(except for the occasional flipping off...)

Robert?

He doesn't give a shit.

He wanted to kiss Kristen... so he did.

I think Rob is probably ready for this relationship

to be out in the open now.

I'm guessing he's tired of the non-answers

The control in public.

Looking at him... looking at her?

No doubt in my mind how he feels about her.

No. Doubt.

10. Robert accepting his awards.

He thanks a lot of people.

But he ends with his thanks to Kristen.

He's ready.

He wants this.

He wants the whole world to see...

11. Final thought.

Watching the cast go up on stage

to accept the final award.

Peter kinda grabs Robert...

Kristen walks up with Elizabeth...

But watch Robert.

Just watch him.

He looks for Kristen.

He gets on stage...

And he is so aware of where she is.

He always knows where she is.

Always.

And.

Maybe the 'Kiss' was a bit anti-climatic.

Were you really expecting them to make out on stage?

Really?

Kristen is most definitely not comfortable 

sharing her private life in any situation...

Live TV in front of millions of people?

Yeah. Exactly.

I'm not too surprised by the outcome.

I did think Robert was cute...

And I'm glad he just grabbed a kiss anyway.
